Anyone that has been paying attention to WUBA this year knows that we are completely obsessed with what's happening in the new folklore scene here in Buenos Aires and around the world. We plastered it across the cover of our first print edition, we tweet, post and write incessantly about it. So when we were given the chance to present a showcase as part of the BAFIM music conference it was a no brainer. One of the most notable trends in folklore is the heavy presence of strong and talented females that are leading the pack, we are proud to present 4 of them: Sofía Viola, Fémina, Paloma del Cerro and La Yegros.
The show is this Friday (Sept. 21) at La Oreja Negra (Uriarte 1271). You can get tickets ahead of time for $35 pesos at the venue, or $40 at the door. We are also raffling tickets through facebook, click here to learn more about that.
