Doña María: acoustic sextet that reinterprets songs from the Latin American folklore repertoire. From the fusion of traditional rhythms with urban and contemporary melodies, they develop a new and original rooty proposal. They emerged in the west of Gran Buenos Aires as a trio (guitar, percussion and voices) in 2005, planning to work on Argentine and Latin American folklore. With the premise of free development and joy, some other sonorities and rhythms were incorporated; such as rap, cumbia, dub, pop and electronic music. With those changes, new members were added, which finally completed a sextet: María José Galliano (voice and "caja"), Juan Ignacio Serrano (guitar and voice), Sergio García Marín (contrabass and voice), Fernando Radl (voice, MC and percussion), Marcelo Von Schultz (percussion), Dj Raffa (scratch and sampler). They just released their first album “Doña María”, freelanced. This band is the decantation from a wide search of the crossover of their members and different musical languages, which is reformulated daily.
