The first film from director Laura Casabé, El hada buena: una fábula peronista, is a futurist film that takes place in a bizarre Argentina. Family matriarch Esther and her brother Horacio are on a quest to create a new and grotesque family, trading normal children for ones with strange mutilation (siamese twins for a cousin, for example). The film will be shown with the presence of director Casabé. Attendence solely with reservation with Cine Club MonAmour.

The Annual Showing of Argentine Photojournalism began in 1981 in dissidence to the military dictatorship that was in power. The showing continues to change as the years pass. This exhibition is made up of 250 photographs, narrowed down from 2000 submitted images, taken by all Argentine photographers.

The work of Robert Mapplethorpe rolls in to Buenos Aires today to launch the very first presentation of the artists infamous life in photographs, 130 photographs taken between 1975 and 1988, everything from his portraits of flowers to his dive into the New York City S&M scene, and dare we say, a curious bullwhip ?
