Zizek is a new club from Buenos Aires, Argentina dedicated to the emerging sounds of Hip Hop, Dancehall, Reggaetón, Cumbia, Bastard Pop, Mashups, and more.
From the beginning, Zizek has been a club where genres clash and cross over, making you dance, while still providing fresh and innovative sounds rarely heard before.
In July 2008 we will be in the USA, Canada & Mexico for a coast to coast summer blowout tour. Below are the artists we will be traveling with.

Villa Diamante [Bs.As.]
Since mid 2004 Diego Bulacio has been DJing and producing under the pseudonym Villa Diamante. Villa Diamante is in a league by himself.
As a resident DJ at Zizek every Thursday, his access to music is insatiable. His specialty is mashups and his choices reflect his time and place in the world. He mashes Argentine and Latin American flavor with Northern Hemisphere Hip Hop, Grime, Electro, Pop & more.
Villa Diamante is the “it DJ” in BA, and has been for some time now. For the first time he flips the script and brings his Southern Hemisphere joints to the North.

Fauna [Mendoza, Arg.]
Fauna was formed by Catar_sys and Color kit in 2003. Their “Tropitronica” sound blends Latin elements like reggae, cumbia, reggaetón, cumbia villera, baile funk with electronic beats like IDM, jungle and breakbeat. More recently they have added live hip-hop/reggae vocals to round out their upbeat, sonically innovative productions.

ORO11 [Oakland & Bs. As.]
Originally a hip-hop and dancehall DJ from the San Francisco area, Oro11 lived in Buenos Aires for close to 3 years, where he developed a taste for the rugged sound of cumbia villera. His own productions intensify and modernize this style through harder dancehall and Baltimore club beats and the addition of hip-hop and ragga vocals from well-known American and Jamaican artists. His tracks have earned him mentions in international music magazines such as XLR8R and Fader as well. His newest initiative, together with Disco Shawn, is Bersa Discos, is one of the hottest new record labels of 2008!
